What the specification does not prove
The Salt mode is a documented operating choice, not proof that every target is detected better in salt. Ready-to-search weight varies with coil, roughly 1.9–2.1 kg. Axiom does not offer a numerical Target ID or depth indicator; Iron Check is a different function.
Before you buy
The official manual explains the role and trade-offs of each mode. Compare target size, soil and coil in a controlled field test.
Frequency ≠ sensitivity ≠ real-world depth. PI is not automatically deeper in every condition. Waterproofing does not prove saltwater performance. Compare the same target, coil, soil and settings whenever possible.
